What's for Dinner?

Last weekend plans (Nalandaway, Dakshinachitra, etc)got washed out in the rains! While I was disappointed, Pattu had her share of fun.
We went ahead with out Thumb Thumb project and I managed to save the rest of the house from the multi coloured Thumbs

Of late we've been playing Jungle and Farm animals. Pattu would come on all fours and say, 'I'm a cub' and I have to go on all fours and say, "I'm mama Tigress' and we'll go hunt or cuddle up.

Once she was the calf and me the cow and since the calf was hungry, we went grazing. Later at the dinner table:

Amma: Come have dinner Pattu

Pattu: No amma..don't want

Amma: You'll feel hungry if you don't eat now

Pattu: But I am not hungry amma... I ate grass with you na amma, Hunger gone. *Wide smile*

Duh!

Wondering if youtobe would have any of the nalandaway programs...

Its so cute when kids play such pretend games :-)Dhruv and I play these pretend games aaaaal the time. Sometimes he's an elephant and I'm his mama, sometimes he's a tiger and I'm an hyena we both are looking for prey together...although I'm an hyena he won't eat me because I'm his friend.

I guess only kids are capable of coming up with such things. Have fun with pattu.

Kids these days:) (Actually, I thought I'd left this comment yesterday but guess I forgot to click the 'post comment' button! With absent minded moms like me around, children gotta be extra smart!)

Hey...I'd wanted to ask you (since you are one of the very few chennai bloggers whom I ve begun to read regularly!!) if you knew something about or have visited 'Toyz day out' and only today understood from one of your earlier posts that you've already been to that place. Let me stop rambling and ask you...how's the place? Is it worth a visit/membership?
P.S: I could n't access the review.

Hema: Toyz day out is good for renting out games. Their collection of books and CDs were quite limited when I first visited them - they might have added more. They don't have a playgym though. Also try Akshara Toy Library - its on Karumariamman koil st.
Workhard, Aryan's Mom: :) Thanks... Thumb pics will be posted this week...
